thats gonna cause some delays...my local news is reporting it as something is going on and the pilot used the panic button to call in the armed forces and shit
the sun *snortle* has got 3 knifemen from somewhere....but its the sun...sooo.. could be anything really
welp...guess ill be following the news today
(edit) welp...guess i wont be following the news today... false alarm and me local news jumped the gun on calling it a probable hijacking.... the sun just flat out invented knifemen...unsurprisingly... normally my local news does better...for shame :p

Per the Beeb:
Dutch police say they are investigating a “suspicious situation” on board a plane at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.
Images posted on social media showed parts of the airport’s D-pier cordoned off to the public.
Police and ambulances have been deployed near the aircraft, witnesses said. Flights are still landing at other parts of the airport.
Schiphol is one of the busiest transport hubs in Europe, handling more than 70 million passengers a year.
The incident has been declared a GRIP-3 situation, Dutch officials say, meaning an incident or serious event with major consequences to a local populatio n.

Does the wind come from all directions in the netherlands? Or do they get paid to build runways by the foot? I see 5 runways with multiple directions for take offs and landings.

The Wiki article about Schiphol actually gives a bit of history on the runways. There are now a total of six. Buitenvelderbaan and Kaagbaan were the original runways I believe

What’s amazing is to fly over it at 15-30k’ and see 4 aircraft operating at the same time in parallel. It’s really creepy, but they do it with very little staggering.

looks like the pilot somehow accidentally started the hijacking protocol...at least thats what the mps are currently investigating
